Question

Hey there Savers,

This evening I wanted to ask your opinion on an idea I have had.  I really enjoy offering you the best deals that I can find; however, to truly help you save I think I need to do a bit more.  One of the ways I have found recently to decrease my spending is to start “DIY’ing” many of the jobs I would have previously hired out.  This has saved me thousands of dollars in some cases.

My thought in regards to this was that I would like to produce a series of YouTube videos with tutorials and how-to’s on various DIY projects that could save you lots of money versus hiring someone.

If this is something you would like to see, please like this post or leave feedback in the comments.

Thanks, and as always Happy Savings!!

Savings Catcher Explained

savingscatcher

I want to tell you about a way to save money at Walmart you might not know about, Savings Catcher!

While Walmart strives to offer you the lowest prices they can, they’re not always the cheapest for everything.  And with Savings Catcher, when they’re not, you get rewarded!

After shopping at Walmart, you simply have to go to savingscatcher.walmart.com or open the Walmart App ( available on iOS or Android) and scan the QR code at the bottom of your receipt.  Their system will then check competing stores in the area for all the items on your receipt and if any lower prices are found, you get the difference back on an eGiftCard.

I use this all the time and it saves me a lot.

Swarm

Today’s world is laden with Swarms. Whether they be the traffic as you go to work, or the shoppers as you buy your groceries.  It can be a fight to find peace and serenity.

As hard as it can be, I have recently been trying to escape the swarm periodically by unplugging and checking out.  Mainly on weekends, I shoot for at least a few hours where technology and the rat-race get put on the back burner and I can commune with my family.

I haven’t mentioned this before, but our son has some medical issues related to him having been a ‘micro-preemie’ when he was born.  Because of this spending time to help him learn and grow is a perfect escape from the swarm of daily life.

Thanks.
