Today’s world is laden with Swarms. Whether they be the traffic as you go to work, or the shoppers as you buy your groceries. It can be a fight to find peace and serenity.
As hard as it can be, I have recently been trying to escape the swarm periodically by unplugging and checking out. Mainly on weekends, I shoot for at least a few hours where technology and the rat-race get put on the back burner and I can commune with my family.
I haven’t mentioned this before, but our son has some medical issues related to him having been a ‘micro-preemie’ when he was born. Because of this spending time to help him learn and grow is a perfect escape from the swarm of daily life.

Dream big, Dream VIVID!! Set your goals and really and truly SEE them! Know what you want and do your best to find the ways to get it!!
You have your best shot at achieving your goals if you make them clear and measurable.
On the road to saving money, desire can be a distracting companion. You see all the “pretty, shiny things” that you may not really need. It is up to you to know what is really important to you and do your best to live within your means. Desire is not inherently negative though, you can desire to be responsible, desire to be safe. It is a double-edged sword if you will.
Most of all I hope you desire to save, to make things better for the you of the future, and I hope my blog can give you some ways to help manage that.
I was going to post this separately; however, I feel it is highly appropriate to be included here.
The Giving Tree is a story of unchecked desire. The little boy wants more and more from the tree until, finally the tree has nothing left to give. I believe there are lessons to be learned here.

I want you all to know that doubt can be a very normal part of getting started with getting financially on track. When you first start, depending on your situation, it can seem like the mountain you have to climb to get out of debt, or meet a savings goal is insurmountable.
What I hope to offer here are easy ways to save money on things you already need. In my opinion this is the best first step, save on what you already pay for. It can be much easier than altering your existing habits.
Keep fighting against doubt and you can accomplish your goals!
And as always!! Happy Savings!!
